|
|
I have a 7 yr old QH gelding who twisted his leg a couple yrs back. the tendon came out the back of his leg, but healed really well. We had it checked out and examined by a vet who gave his reccomendations, horse, etc.
We have had him on gloucosamine/chondroitan horse since then and they help, but I'm wondering if there's an operation that can take care of this reoccuring problem, where he won't have problems with it again.
He can be rode, but tends to get lame if rode too long. He's a good horse and will go the distance for you, but we don't let him, because of the tendon trouble.
It's nothing life threatening, but more like how a person, after breaking a bone, is arthritic in that area.
Any help or advice would be great!
Thank you! |
